In this Open Discussion Webinar, hosted by the NASDTEC Professional Education Committee, Learning Policy Institute researchers present research findings from a national landscape of early childhood teaching credentials, characteristics of eight, well-regarded early educator preparation programs across four states, and key policy strategies that can inform state-and institutions of higher education (IHE)-level efforts to strengthen the early educator workforce. A panel of state and IHE representatives discuss the implications of the research findings, as well as their direct experiences with public preschool expansion and supporting the preparation and credentialing of early childhood teachers in their own states.
