The purpose of Professional Educator Standards Boards Association (PESBA ) is to provide a growth forum for support of existing and future Professional Educator Standards Boards, to support the on-boarding of new professional standards boards upon request, and to share best standards board practices among the standards boards and with the general NASDTEC membership.

Members of the Committee must be representatives of professional educator standards and/or practices boards that are independent, semi-independent or advisory; must be from jurisdictions that are in good standing with NASDTEC; and must pay the annual dues assessed by the committee. A representative from the National Education Association (NEA) serves as a nonvoting member.
