The NASDTEC Annual Conference is held each June and is open to members and others interested in the education profession. In addition to attending to the business of the association, the annual conference and meeting feature a full agenda of sessions on current and vital topics to the education profession. The annual conference rotates among the NASDTEC four geographic regions.

The NASDTEC Professional Practices Committee (PPC) hosts the Professional Practices Institute (PPI) each fall. The PPI is a specialized program, addressing issues of educator misconduct, screening and background checks, and related topics. The Institute rotates among the NASDTEC four geographic regions.

Starting in 2024, the NASDTEC Professional Education Committee (PEC) held its first National Convening. The focus for 2024, 2025, and 2026 has been Registered Apprenticeships in Teaching. The National Convening is designed to address current topics related to education for which new information is coming quickly or not as readily available as one would like. Therefore, depending on the national landscape, the National Convening focus changes.

The National Council for the Advancement of Educator Ethics (NCAEE) conducts the National Symposium on Educator Ethics at different times throughout the year in conjunction with other organizations (e.g., AASPA, AAQEP, CAEP), in order to reach school district and educator preparation personnel at gatherings they already plan to attend.
