In the first episode of the Distinguished Speaker Series, preeminent Scholar Professor Edmund W. Gordon shares his experiences, insights, and reflections on a variety of topics ranging from his early education as a child, to thoughts about equitable schooling environments and pedagogical perspectives, to his vision of the education in the future. Among many other honors, Professor Gordon is the John M. Musser Professor of Psychology, Emeritus at Yale University, Richard March Hoe Professor, Emeritus of Psychology and Education, and Founding and Emeritus Director of the Institute of Urban and Minority Education (IUME) at Teachers College, Columbia University. In celebration of his 100th birthday, the American Education Research Association (AERA) named Professor Gordon its Honorary President.
