Carolyn Angelo, J.D. currently serves as legal counsel for NASDTEC. Carolyn received her BA from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, her M.Ed. from the University of Vermont, and her J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law.

Carolyn served as the executive director and legal counsel for Pennsylvania’s Professional Standards and Practices Commission. The Commission is an independent agency vested with responsibility for the professional educator disciplinary process. In addition, the Commission acts as an advisory board to the State Board of Education on all issues related to teacher preparation and certification.

Before joining the Commission in 1998, Carolyn was an attorney in the Department of Education’s Office of Chief Counsel for nine years and previously an associate with the Philadelphia law firm of Pepper Hamilton.
