The NASDTEC Executive Board has decided to cancel the 24th Annual NASDTEC Professional Practices Institute, scheduled for October 14-16, 2020 in Oklahoma City, OK
This decision was guided by the best information we could glean regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, including the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, World Health Organization, U.S. state and local health authorities, as well as jurisdictional travel restrictions. The Board also had the recommendation of the Professional Practices Committee, which believed this to be the best decision in light of the information it has obtained on the limited ability of our contracted speakers and attendees to be in Oklahoma City this October.
The NASDTEC Executive Board realizes that the conference is considered an important part of our offerings to members, and we hope to offer an extended group of webinars on professional practices issues, as well as more general topics, for our members as we enter the fall.
In related news, NASDTEC will not continue the 2020 nomination process for the Doug Bates Award, which is presented at the PPI but will continue the award in 2021.
The good news is that we have been successful in rescheduling the same venue at the OKC Skirvin Hilton for October 20 – 22, 2021.
Once again, thanks for the collegiality and the many friendships that are part of NASDTEC.
For the second time in 2020, we will miss the opportunity to catch up and share, but we look forward to seeing you soon.
